Since CHT was founded in the 1950s by Reinhold Beitlich in Tübingen on the Neckar, the company has developed into a globally active group programmed for further growth. The company's workforce has more than doubled from 700 to about 1,600 since 1990. Today the CHT Group consists of 22 companies and is represented on all continents. The operative core element within this company group is CHT R. BEITLICH GMBH in Tübingen, whose shareholders include a family non-profit foundation. With the farsighted decision to put the family-owned business shares in a "Beitlich Family Foundation", the company founder succeeded in ensuring the company's long-term continuity and independence. The company's international orientation allows CHT customers worldwide to procure our products directly in all the relevant local markets. An international logistics concept ensures the punctual supply of special chemicals to all sites. Our customers are promptly provided with goods which always conform to the same high quality requirements from our own warehouses. The departments for Process Development and System Planning are located in Dusslingen, only a few kilometres away from the Development Centre in Tübingen. Know-how is developed and cultivated in the central factory in order to employ it worldwide in the production organisation. This is one reason why CHT maintains a uniform standard of environmentally friendly and efficient processes by which the products and formulations are produced with a defined and constant quality. The manufacture of the CHT product line is carried out worldwide at a total of twenty sites. Production plants are found on almost every continent: in Charlotte (USA), Cajamar (Brazil), Shanghai and Dongguan (China), Istanbul (Turkey), Oyten (Germany) and in Montlingen (Switzerland), large-scale equipment for chemical implementation is installed whose process technology was developed in the central factory in Du?lingen. Ready-for-use preparations and special products are formulated for customers in the local markets at the following sites: Bo Luo (China), Medellin (Columbia), Dandenong (Australia), Stockport (Great Britain), Meiningen (Austria), Porto (Portugal), Mumbai (India), Pinetown (South Africa), Taipei (Taiwan) and Harare (Zimbabwe).
